The Department of Surgery at the Robert Larner, M.D. College of Medicine at The University of Vermont and the University of Vermont Medical Center is excited to announce a search for a Chief of Neurosurgery to fill the Raymond M. P. Donaghy Professorship in Neurosurgery. The successful candidate will be expected to participate in the care of Neurosurgical patients, and the training of Neurosurgery residents, as well as continue to pursue their research interests. Experience in clinical leadership is preferred. Only candidates at the Associate Professor or Professor level in the clinical scholar pathway will be considered for this prestigious position.
All applicants must be board certified in Neurosurgery. Successful candidates must be eligible for licensure in the State of Vermont, eligible to work in the United States, and have experience in the administrative, teaching, clinical, and research activities of an academic division. This is a full-time, 12-month, salaried position with attending staff privileges at the University of Vermont Medical Center.
Located in Burlington, the University of Vermont and the University of Vermont Medical Center serve as Vermont’s only academic medical center. It is the only ACS verified Level 1 trauma center in the state and provides tertiary care to patients from Vermont and Northern NY.
