Job Description
What We Are Looking For:
The Baylor Department of Student Athletic Center for Excellence is seeking a Character Formation Coordinator to help support the mission of Baylor University and is responsible for assisting in the development, implementation, and evaluation of our athletic support services designed to facilitate the personal and professional development of all student-athletes.
An Bachelor's Degree, two years of relevant experience, and an active Christian faith is required. A Master's Degree and three years of relevant experience is preferred.
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
What You Will Do:
- Lead and assist in the implementation of Character Formation programs to include community engagement, personal skills, social responsibility, career and professional development, leadership, and spiritual growth.
- Serve as the career coach for identified sports
- Maintain communication with coaches, compliance, and administration on the progress of student-athletes. Identify issues as necessary to the coaching staff.
- Establish and maintain relationships with campus and community partners.
- Maintain working knowledge of and adherence to all NCAA, Big 12 Conference, and institution rules and regulations and communicate immediately any possible infractions of such rules and regulations to the Athletics Compliance staff.
- Other program duties as requested by the Director of Athletics or the area head.
- Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylor’s mission.
