Job Title: Change and Education Initiatives Program Manager

Job Summary:

The Academic Services Program Manager is responsible for change management and educational initiatives within the Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences. Responsibilities will include the operational management and oversight of the School Culture and program curriculum, as well as management of the school’s education programs. This position works fully independently at an advanced level. This position is only open to current employees of the Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • In collaboration with the Associate Dean of Administration, provide facilitation of school initiatives associated with the School Culture and program curriculum. Responsibilities include:
    • Execute strategies for cultural transformation aligned with organizational goals through the creation and maintenance of actions plans to implement change initiatives, collaboration with school leadership to promote and gain support of initiatives, and continually assessing and providing feedback on change initiatives and refinement.
    • Chair the change ambassador program and provide training and resources to ensure school employees, students and partners are engaged and adapt to changes associated with school initiatives.
    • Responsible for program budget tracking, as well as purchasing and procurement for change programs.
    • Support the Associate Dean for Education and the Education Program Director in oversight of the school education programs. Support the Education Program Director in the following activities: 
      • Manage course directors in the development and implementation of courses, manage the course catalog, produce class schedules, and coordinate classroom assignments.
      • Coordination of preceptor and faculty assessments and small group activities
      • Advising assignments for students
      • Developing the school calendar and ensuring coordination with the Registrar’s Office
      • Various other duties related to student curriculum as assigned.
  • This position may be asked to manage additional projects or tasks related to change initiatives and education programs. 

Work Location:

Hybrid – this role is eligible for a hybrid schedule of 2 days per week on campus and as needed for in-person meetings and events.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in education, business administration, public administration, or a closely related field.
    • A combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the bachelor’s degree on a year for year basis.
  • Five (5) years of professional experience in academic program management.

Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in education, business administration, public administration, or a related field.
  • Experience with curriculum management in a school of pharmacy.
  • Experience working at an academic medical center.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to function independently in a responsible and timely manner.
  • Ability to influence individuals to comply with regulations, policies, and rules.
  • Excellent communication skills with a strong customer service focus
  • Ability to interact and communicate effectively with professional, administrative, and other personnel throughout the organization, both orally and in written form
  • Ability to work closely and effectively with a diverse group of stakeholders.
  • Must be detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to quickly prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to conceptualize administrative problems and to develop and implement action plans for their resolution, including strategic utilization of staff and resources.
  • Knowledge of Higher Education Administration
  • Ability to analyze, interpret, and evaluate a broad range of laws, policies, and regulations to exercise good judgment in applying them to academic program management.
  • Demonstrated commitment and leadership ability to advance diversity and inclusion.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite required.

Anticipated Pay Range:

The starting salary range (or hiring range ) for this position has been established as $61,830 - $78,649.

The above salary range (or hiring range ) represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position may be eligible for overtime compensation, depending on the level.
