Required and Preferred Qualifications


Required Education: Relevant coursework/specialized training

Completion of Master’s Level Training Program accredited by the American Board of Genetic Counseling or will consider candidates that are currently enrolled in Master’s program in Clinical Genetics/Genetics Counseling.

If yes, what is the required licensure/certification?
Certified or certified eligible for certification from the American Board of Genetic Counseling (ABGC) or be eligible to obtain certification one year from hire date.

1. Knowledge of clinical genetics and medical care.
2. Counseling skills
3. Computer skills appropriate for laboratory and clinical case management
4. Effective oral and written presentation and communication skills
5. Superior organizational skills and the ability to work independently
Preferred Education: Master's degree

Experience as a genetic counselor in a clinical setting.
