Certified Athletic Trainer- Orthopedics, Inverness

Job Summary:

The Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) provides high quality support to physicians and advanced practice providers (APPs) in meeting the operational needs of the practice and the medical needs of the patient.  The ATC assesses and evaluates, plans, implements, monitors, and documents patient care in a manner according to ATC scope and standards. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Escorts patients to and from exam rooms and readies them for physicians
• Acts as a liaison between physician and patient
• Assists with scheduling, completion of patient forms, and enters orders/referrals per physician standing order
• Obtains all special study reports and physical therapy progress reports prior to physician visit; as needed, scan reports into Epic
• As prescribed by the physician, selects, fabricates, and/or customizes prophylactic, assistive, and restrictive devices, such as casting, bracing and splinting materials

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree
• Certification by The Board of Certification for Athletic Trainer
• Licensure with the State of Colorado as an Athletic Trainer

Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1 year of experience in an orthopedic ambulatory setting providing direct patient care
• Experience working in conjunction with orthopedic/sports medicine physicians
• EPIC, Kronos, and HealthStream experience

Conditions of Employment:

• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification for Healthcare Providers issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.

Anticipated Pay Range:

The starting salary range (or hiring range ) for this position has been established as $50,000 - $58,000

The above salary range (or hiring range ) represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position may be eligible for overtime compensation, depending on the level.
