Responsibilities:
The College of Communication at DePaul University invites applicants for a part-time fellowship position in the Center for Journalism Integrity and Excellence (CJIE). The CJIE fellow's responsibilities include joining DePaul's Advanced Reporting class as coordinated with the directors and participating in any appropriate project work conducted by their students during the year. We ask that you be available for brief follow-up contacts that arise from students in their classes to pursue shared interests, provide advice, or further their work in line with the CJIE mission. In addition, we ask that you be available for one potential out-of-class event per quarter that is agreed to and determined by you and the Center's directors.
Required Qualifications:
M.A. in journalism or equivalent professional experience. The candidate must have at least 10 years of professional reporting experience. This experience can be in print, online, broadcast and/or radio. Teaching experience is recommended, but not required. Applicants with demonstrated success in working with diverse student bodies are strongly encouraged to apply.
