Center Coordinator

Under the direction of the Director of Operations, the Center Coordinator for the Center for Healthy Neighborhoods will provide administrative support and leadership for various programs and services and serve as the first point of contact for families requesting health and social services.
 
This position is anticipated to work 32 hours a week.


Essential Duties

70% Social Services Coordination and Program Planning

  • Welcome, greet, and assist clients
  • Conduct and maintain client intake, screening, and referrals
  • Maintain and update information on resources and services available in the community
  • Coordinate and supervise Center led activities and programming
  • Open and set up of the Center for programming and services
  • Collaborate with Social Work intern(s) to schedule, arrange, and conduct social services appointments
  • Assist with supervision and direct academics interns and volunteers
  • Manage and post Center events and flyers on social media accounts
  • Develop and coordinate Center bulletin board, newsletter, and Center outreach flyers and resources.
  • Submit monthly report and participation rosters to Director
  • Schedule and coordinate health education courses with CSUF Nursing faculty and Director
  • Track and request Center inventory and supplies to Director
  • Attend special events, Center outreach, staff meetings, and forums
15% Document and Records Maintenance
  • Answer telephone, takes verbal messages, and respond to requests for routine information
  • Schedule and arrange meetings for the Center Director.
  • Develop and create participant rosters, logs, sign-in sheets, and program tracking
  • Maintain and update Center active client and past participant roster
  • Maintain client confidentiality
  • Develop and create bilingual Center flyers, PowerPoint presentations, agendas, and social media posting
10% Other Duties 
  • Communicate effectively and respectfully with persons from diverse backgrounds
  • Collaborate with Academic Success Program on programming materials, trainings, and materials
5% General Correspondence
  • General Correspondence, such as answering the phone, attending Center activities, and welcoming walk-in clients.
  • Maintain positive and affective relationships with staff and representatives from the community


Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bilingual: English and Spanish. 
EDUCATION:
  • Minimum Bachelors degree. 



PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Prolonged sitting in front of computer. Walking, talking, hearing, pulling, bending, may carry 10-15 pounds of objects/material, not exposed to extreme noise level, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands or arms, stoop, kneel, taste or smell.
