Posting Summary
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Case Manager/Counselor for the Division of Student Affairs. This position is being funded by the VOCA grant and is designed to optimize service provision of the office.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
  • Responsible for overseeing and delegating all advocacy needs of students served by VPVA. This involves learning and optimizing our database workflow, providing direct advocacy services, and managing outcome data related to advocacy services.
  • Manage a small clinical counseling case load and will assist in triaging client care, safety planning, accompaniment to court, Title IX, RUPD, hospitals and any other appropriate VPVA services.

Qualifications


Minimum Education and Experience
  • Master’s degree in counseling related profession.
Certifications/Licenses
  • Clinical license in the State of New Jersey (LPC, LAC, LSW, LCSW, PsyD)
  • Certification as a Crisis Response Advocate (both domestic and sexual violence) to be obtained within 6 months of hire.
  • Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with database management preferred.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Experience with trauma-informed care, working on a team, and strong communication skills required.
