Who You Are: 

Join our dynamic team as a Career Services Coordinator, where you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the future careers of our students. We're seeking a proactive individual with a knack for networking and building lasting relationships with technology companies. In this role, you'll research and curate internship opportunities tailored to our students' needs, while also fostering partnerships with industry leaders locally and nationally. Your responsibilities will include attending networking events, compiling/ contacting outreach lists, and engaging alumni and industry contacts for fundraising initiatives.

The ideal candidate will possess strong networking abilities, a deep understanding of industry trends, ability to negotiate and build strong technology industry relationships and have a passion for guiding individuals toward fulfilling career paths.  If you have a passion for connecting people and a drive for exceeding goals, we want to hear from you!

Duties: 

  • Conducting comprehensive research to identify and curate diverse internship opportunities tailored to the needs and aspirations of our students.
  • Cultivating enduring and mutually beneficial partnerships with esteemed technology firms both regionally and nationally, fostering a robust network for collaboration.
  • Strategically identifying and attending relevant networking events to enhance the visibility and reputation of both the University of Advancing Technology (UAT) and Perimeter83, thereby amplifying awareness of our distinctive services and offerings within the industry.
  • Proactively compiling a targeted roster of potential industry clients through meticulous research and executing effective cold-calling strategies to foster productive relationships.
  • Spearheading fundraising initiatives for the UAT Foundation by engaging alumni and industry stakeholders, articulately communicating the important impact of their contributions towards our student foundation. These donations play a pivotal role in sustaining scholarships for UAT’s STEM-focused students, thus addressing the escalating demand for proficient Bachelor's graduates in STEM disciplines.
  • Demonstrating adept interpersonal skills by initiating connections and articulating the value proposition of our graduates and interns to potential employers, thereby bridging employment gaps with our exceptional student population
  • Flourishing in a results-driven environment by leveraging metrics and analytical reporting to optimize performance and achieve organizational objectives.
  • Consistently surpassing predefined targets while exhibiting a relentless commitment to surpassing personal bests and setting new benchmarks for excellence.
  • Find industry projects that our students can assist with completing. This involves actively searching for suitable opportunities through research and networking.

 Skills/ Requirements:

  • You’re fast, fun, smart, friendly!
  • Proficient in public speaking, comfortable addressing large audiences
  • Skilled in networking, able to connect with groups ranging from various backgrounds to C-Suite executives seamlessly
  • Motivated to expand territory and cultivate relationships with new clients
  • Demonstrates a strong inclination to meet new individuals and facilitate mutually beneficial solutions, guiding both parties toward outcome that met both of their respective needs.

  • You have a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university.
  • You enjoy working autonomously and as part of a team.

 Important Notes:

  • This role is not confined to standard 9-6 working hours. Attendance at events outside normal business hours is required.
  • Work Hours: Based on events and business need. Minimum of 40 hours per week. Some weeks could be higher depending on events.
  • Bachelor’s degree REQUIRED
  • Salary Range: $50,000-$61,000 annually plus benefits:
