Physical Requirements
This position will be responsible for obtaining and processing12 lead ECGs, hooking up and analyzing holter monitors, and placing event monitors. Will be responsible for maintaining equipment to ensure proper function. This includes proper placement and function of all cables and monitors connected to patient. This position will serve as a resource to clinical areas as needed and maintain confidentiality of patients. This position will require passing the EKG competency test given per UK nursing guidelines. 
Shift
Monday through Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm; some weekends and/or holidays may be required per departmental needs.
Job Summary

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
The ideal candidate will have knowledge of normal heart rhythm and basic arrhythmias; experience with 12 lead ECG, holter and event monitors; organizational skills and an ability to communicate clearly and concisely; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships as well as follow hospital and unit policy and procedures.

Preferred Education/Experience
1-2 years of direct experience monitoring and interpreting cardiac physiological data.
