Job Duties
  •  Create marketing plans to promote Cardinals Activities Board (CAB) events effectively.
  • Design visually appealing promotional materials such as posters, flyers, digital graphics, and social media content to advertise upcoming events. Ensure consistency in branding and messaging across all materials.
  • Maintain and enhance CAB’s presence on social media platforms by posting engaging content, interacting with followers, and utilizing relevant hashtags and trends.
  • Coordinate publicity campaigns to generate buzz and excitement for events.
  • Work closely with CAB Event Officers to align marketing efforts with event objectives and timelines. Provide support in promoting events through various channels and maximizing attendance.
  • Attend event planning meetings for CAB to stay informed about upcoming events, discuss marketing strategies, and provide input on promotional initiatives.
  • Actively engage with the campus community to solicit feedback, build relationships with student organizations and campus stakeholders, and promote a sense of community around CAB events.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Demonstrate experience in marketing, advertising, or related fields through coursework, internships, or extracurricular activities.
  • Proficiency in graphic design software (Canva, etc.) and a strong creative eye for designing visually appealing promotional materials.
  • Understanding of social media platforms and managing social media accounts for organizations or events.
  • Strong time management skills – this role will involve balancing various responsibilities, meetings, and event deadlines alongside your academic coursework.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey messages to wide audiences.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with Event Officers, fellow student leaders, and campus stakeholders to achieve common goals.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed to support event promotion.
  • Have experience and knowledge of how to utilize LU Hub.
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 and good standing with the university.
Physical Requirements
  • The position requires the ability to lift and move event materials/equipment. This position may require long hours spent standing during events. Candidates should be able to stand, walk, and perform job duties for extended periods.
