BSD PAT - Molecular Pathology

About the Department

Molecular and Cytogenetic Pathology (MCP) at University of Chicago was created to bring together the latest in genomics technologies, computational biology approaches and scientific knowledge for the care of patients at the University and the broader community. For cancer and a host of other diseases, genetic information is a critical piece of the puzzle, and can help to better define disease, predict its progression, and most importantly help to select the best possible treatment for each individual patient. Key areas of research interest in MCP involve the development of novel methodologies for cancer genomic diagnostics as well as genomics-guided investigations of anti-tumor immunity with an aim for development of novel cellular therapeutics.
