Under the general direction of the Post Award Compliance Officer, the Campus Programs Administrator will provide professional level support for the California State University, Fullerton faculty, and staff. Provides campus programs administration of independently funded programs. Administrative oversight includes account setup, orientations, renewals, and account closeout. The position oversees project financial activities to ensure compliance with terms and conditions of the Campus Program Agreement and ASC policies.


Essential Duties

  • Set up and follow up on new and renewed campus program accounts.
  • Send out annual cost recovery reports to project directors.
  • Monitor payroll passthrough accounts.
  • Maintain project spreadsheets and reports to campus.
  • Independently perform such professional duties including analysis of program requirements, reconcile and close accounts, prepare campus reports and campus programs budgets.  
  • Must have a good working relationship with various campus and Auxiliary departments as well as a good understanding of the reasoning behind the operating procedures of these departments to positively interpret the procedures to the faculty Project Directors.
  • The emphasis is on giving positive attention to serving the needs of the Project Directors while acting in the best interest of the Auxiliary. 
  • Must be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously and be able to prioritize work and consistently meet deadlines.  
  • Ability to maintain cooperative working relations with Project Directors, the University and Auxiliary departments is required.
  • Serves as liaison between Accounting and OSP for all month end and year end campus programs closing requirements.
  • Ability to perform the full range of campus programs oversight with only minimal supervision.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or required.  


Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of ASC policies and procedures.
  • Ability to make reasoned judgements when applying policies to particular situations.
  • Strong organizational skills, experience using computerized data bases, ability to clearly express ideas or positions effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Experience with MS Word, Adobe Acrobat, and Outlook.
  • Intermediate level experience using Excel to maintain logs and simple databases including the use of formulas for pulling data between workbook sheets.
  • The capacity to function efficiently and calmly in stressful situations which require a high degree of tact and diplomacy. 
EDUCATION:
  • Minimum Associate’s degree, preferably in Business Administration with a concentration in accounting; or two years of progressively responsible, professional experience in an institution of higher education or research foundation or other closely related administrative experience.



PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Prolonged sitting in front of computer. Walking, talking, hearing, pulling, bending, may carry 10-15 pounds of objects/material, not exposed to extreme noise level, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands or arms, stoop, kneel, taste or smell.
