Shift
8:00am – 5:00pm (Monday – Friday)
Hours of work may vary dependent upon situational factors requiring evening(s) and weekend(s) response for meetings/presentations, etc.
Job Summary
Reporting to the Director for Campus Planning, this position is actively engaged in the development of an Integrated Planning Model supporting and consistent with the University of Kentucky – Campus Master Plan; Engages in significant data analyses, data management, and data verification; Facilities project program development (exclusive of UK HealthCare); Applies extensive knowledge of site planning; urban design; landscape design; sustainability; ADA; and other related regulations on a wide variety of Campus planning issues, including building sites; landscape; transportation systems, and other infrastructure components.
In addition, the Campus Planner defines and integrates issues, identifies problems, synthesizes solutions, and links elements in developing cohesive action plans; Analyzes user requirements, prioritizes, and develops project plans while effectively overseeing multiple projects simultaneously; Plans, develops, organizes, documents, and facilitates meetings and workshops; and Delivers effective presentations to small and large groups, both internal and external, engaging a diverse community of attendees.
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
MS Windows/Office; Presentation Software; SAP
Drivers License — Preferred
Demonstrated knowledge of site planning, urban design, landscape design, sustainability, ADA, and other related regulations, the capital planning process, and integrated planning. Ability to thoughtfully create inspiring and sustainable landscapes that perform ecologically, technically, economically, and aesthetically.

Preferred Education/Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in a directly related field of study (i.e.) Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Landscape Planning, Environmental Sciences and Sustainability, etc.
