Job Summary
 

Ensures all transactions for Housing and Residence Life are compliant with established policies and procedures of the University, Board of Regents, State of Georgia, and other governing bodies. Serves as a liaison for the department and representative for assigned Housing location.


Responsibilities
 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Serves as the key purchaser for all Residence Life programs and needs within the assigned unit(s)
2. Supports and maintains the overall onboarding and technology assets of the employees within the assigned unit and all overarching initiatives and assets of the department
3. Coordinates, reviews, and ensures all financial transactions are processed accurately and timely, maintaining compliance with Housing and Residence Life policies, USG policies, State of Georgia policies, university policies, and other regulatory guidelines
4. Assists with administrative and clerical support to include but not limited to staff uniforms, employee records, and other departmental clerical needs
5. Responsible for comparison shopping on the approved sites and/or locations (i.e., online Marketplace and store(s)) to ensure the most cost-effective purchases
6. Responsible for all employee reimbursements through the Foundation
7. Attends Housing and Residence Life events and programs outside of business hours as needed


Required Qualifications
 

Educational Requirements
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education in Accounting or related field or an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience
Other Required Qualifications
Current, valid and unrestricted driver's license
Required Experience
One (1) year related work experience


Preferred Qualifications
 

Additional Preferred Qualifications
Familiar with PeopleSoft Financials or other financial services programs
Preferred Educational Qualifications
An advanced degree from an accredited institution of higher education in Accounting or related field
Preferred Experience
Previous Higher Education Experience
