Primary Purpose of Position
This position serves as a Business Reporting Analyst with responsibility for conducting a descriptive analysis of Facilities data and be able to identify specific patterns of activity within the data. This position utilizes technical and analytical skills to create and update visualizations in Tableau and Excel. In addition, this position routinely updates dashboards and infographics on the website.
Minimum Education/Experience
Required Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree and one year of experience related to the area of assignment; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
University Preferred Qualifications:
Graduation from a four year college or university and at least three years of program associate experience; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
Essential Job Duties
  • Work with a team to provide work orders and facilities-related analytical information to FM staff as well as campus partners.
  •  Convey professional and audience-appropriate communication to FM management and campus departments.
  • Design, develop, and interpret facilities-related data and maintain reports.
  • Prepare and update analytical reports in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Canva.
  • Provide descriptive analytics to identify specific patterns of activity within the data.
  • Justify financial information provided by the immediate supervisor, FM senior leadership, and customers.
  • Collaborate with other units in FM to enhance or create new metrics for the department.
  • Use of technical skills to create and update dashboards in Tableau for increased analysis and visualization presentations.
  •  Prepare managerial reports and perform various calculations to assist the supervisor.
  • Website management and publishing using basic coding in Drupal.
Other Work Responsibilities
  •  Identify areas for data cleaning and execute with the help of developers as needed.
  • Perform benchmark analysis against industry peers.
  • Perform other duties as assigned and/or delegated to support all Facilities Management operations.
  • Assist other Finance and Business Operations staff as needed.
  • Assist with developing standardized processes and procedures to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Proactively keep pace with industry developments.
  • Prepare and complete special projects.
Departmental Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  •  Intermediate to advanced Tableau and Excel skills.
  •  Experience working with data in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple competing priorities
  •  Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills.
  •  Knowledge of accounting, business analytics, budgeting, and/or finance.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  •  Demonstrated leadership and communication (verbal and written) skills.
  • Strong reporting and data visualization skills.
  •  Website publishing experience helpful.
  • Facilities experience.
Necessary Licenses or Certifications
Positions may be required to possess and maintain required certification, licensure, educational level, and/or experience criteria as applicable to the tasks being performed and follow applicable building codes.
