The Business Operations Analyst provides financial and operational support to medical staff administration; responsible for managing business processes to ensure operational efficiency; monitors, coordinates, researches, analyzes, and tracks the monthly/annual department expenditures, accounts receivable, and payment tracking for funds including operating, endowment, and development; prepares financial resource management reports to provide to medical staff administration leadership; supports and coordinates work groups to facilitate internal and interdepartmental projects, medical staff meetings, committees, and events; supports and coordinates work groups to facilitate internal and interdepartmental projects; coordination and management of PARS/CORS/Vanderbilt program in conjunction with legal, compliance, and quality; manages and maintains physician relation inquires and outreach relationships; coordinates with marketing to develop awareness around medical staff events to increase faculty engagement.

Responsibilities:

Medical Staff Operations and Engagement

  • Support, coordinate and participate in work groups to facilitate internal and interdepartmental projects including HIPAA and Flu compliance, coordination and management of PARS/CORS/Vanderbilt program in conjunction with legal, compliance and quality, coordination of  annual medical staff committee appointments including medical staff elections,  requests for new members or replacements and support for medical staff meetings including bi-annual medical staff meetings; support bylaws committee and amendment process in accordance with the medical staff bylaws and Joint Commission requirements; support administrative activities for physician recognition program including annual nominations, committee review, ballot development, voting and induction of new members of the society of master clinicians; coordinate medical center-wide new physician orientation including agenda management, scheduling, development of program materials, and program execution; coordination of medical staff engagement events; coordination and management of faculty athletic council events; Support and coordinate work groups to facilitate internal and interdepartmental projects; Monitors and collects feedback to ensure events align with unit strategy

Business Operations

  • Responsible for managing business processes to ensure department operations efficiency; monitors, coordinates, researches, analyzes, and tracks the monthly/annual department expenditures, accounts receivable, and payment tracking for funds including operating, endowment, and development; directs and preserves established financial and operational processing environment; ensures adherence to appropriate internal control structures and compliance with established fiscal policies, procedures, and regulations; participates in short-term and long-term strategic planning activities for medical staff administration; participates in the annual budget planning process for multiple cost centers; gathers data and prepares resource management report to include operating, endowments and development funds to provide to medical staff administration leadership; participates in internal and external audits; recommends the acquisition, maintenance and disposition of all property and equipment; outlines process and outcome metrics to support of new workflows and compliance requirements.

Physician Relations and Communication

  • Manages physician relation inquiries; maintains relationships with referring physicians through physician relations network and troubleshoots issues to enhance relationships; other duties as directed by the associate director

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

  • 2 years of relevant experience required. 2-4 years of relevant experience preferred.
