Position Summary
The Workforce for Health Initiative is a new program inside of NC AHEC. The Workforce for Health Initiative will provide a forum for health employers, workers, educators, regulators, policymakers, and others throughout North Carolina to convene, discuss challenges and opportunities, share best practices and lessons learned, identify potential solutions and metrics for success, and monitor progress toward addressing these challenges. This position will oversee multiple business components in areas of budget management, financial planning, accounting, purchasing, inventory, payroll, personnel administration, and process improvement. The first function of the role will be to establish the workflow of business processes inside the new department. This position will provide leadership and administrative direction in the development of processes, procedures and systems that contribute to successful business operations. This position is a hybrid position.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Mid-career with Masters and 1-2 yrs experience; or Bachelors and 2-4 yrs experience
Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
Demonstrated experience with budget management, financial analysis, accounting, or related area. Experience with business operations, program management, or related business area. Basic knowledge of accounting principles, theory, and methodology. Ability to create and analyze financial reports. Excellent verbal and written communication ability. High attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
Experience in a higher education, and/or healthcare setting. Experience managing a large department or organization. Supervisory experience. Prefer someone with knowledge of the OBM circular, pre and post-award grant administration.
