Position Description


Advertised Job Summary
  • Directs fiscal management activities: Prepares financial reports, presents budget, income, and expense reports.
  • Guide Project Manager and Facilities to ensure proper budget is set for projects for Parking and Transportation Services.
  • Forecast, project revenue, and expenditures for each fiscal year.
  • Prepare and analyze monthly operating budget reports for review with Director of Parking and Transportation and Chief Operating Officer.
  • Analyze parking and transportation expenses to assist in determining University rates.
  • Develops and directs VMPS budgetary process.
  • Approve departmental expenditures. Conducts on site checks and reviews of garage fiscal procedures and controls.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field and 1 year of professional accounting experience or equivalency.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Knowledge of principles, practices, theories and terminology of accounting, auditing, banking, budgeting, financial management. Knowledge of state government fiscal accounting processes.

Perform journal entries, IIT’s, transfers, mandatory transfers, and budget transfers.
