Description of Work:

Maintain Athletic Department grounds. Coordinate and implement snow removal for athletic facilities. Assist Turf Grass Manager as needed on practice and competition fields including line painting for athletic competition and practice. Operate and perform preventative maintenance on all landscape equipment such as tractors, skid steer, seeders, spreaders, mowers, and snow blowers. Manage an inventory of supplies and grounds chemicals and work with the Turf Grass Manager to authorize and approve all expenses related to grounds and outside maintenance.
Assist with event set-up and assist with maintenance and custodial duties at all athletic facilities as needed. The selected candidate will have a demonstrated commitment to diversity and inclusion. Will be required to work some evening and weekend events.

Minimum Required Qualifications:

High school or equivalent experience plus one (1) year grounds maintenance experience. Must be able to obtain an EPA Pesticide Applicator license within six months of hire. All applicants must possess a valid driver's license and the ability to pass a DMV background check authorizing them to operate university vehicles.

Preferred Qualifications:

Applicants preferred to have relevant course work or specialized training in turf grass management and landscape maintenance. Ideal candidates will have certifications for handling turf insecticides, herbicides, and fertilizers.

Posted Salary: $21.153/hr minimum
