Position Summary:

Performs skilled custodial maintenance duties and related services to provide proper care to a section or unit of a building.

Position Key Accountabilities:

1.  Performs skilled custodial work.  This includes refinishing, waxing and polishing of the floors.  
2.  Cleans, sweeps, vacuums, mops, and scrubs tile work and other various floor and wall surfaces in stairways, hallways, restrooms, offices, laboratories, locker rooms, building lobbies, lounges, and waiting rooms.
3.  Sanitizes and stocks restrooms on a regular basis.
4.  Washes windows and polishes special metal fixtures and surfaces such as nickel and brass work.
5.  Cleans, dusts, and polishes furniture and equipment.  
6.  Washes and polishes drinking fountains and other fixtures.
7.  Empties waste baskets and trash boxes.
8.  Participates in the preparation of auditoriums and other areas for meetings, seminars, and other student, faculty, and staff functions.
9.  Performs other duties as assigned.

None

Minimum Education:

High school degree or equivalent.

 

Minimum Experience:

None  

Physical Requirements:

Exerts up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or over 20 pounds constantly to move objects.

Residency Requirement:

Employees must permanently reside and work in the State of Texas.
