Position Summary | The Benefits Director is responsible for directing and planning the day-to-day operations of the University of the Incarnate Word’s self-funded medical and dental plans, other ancillary insurance benefits, and the 403(b) retirement plans. Responsibilities include investigating and evaluating new benefit programs, improving existing programs, and supervising and monitoring benefits administration. May work with a consultant. Position also responds to employee inquiries and provides excellent customer service. The Benefits Director reports to the Senior Director of Human Resources. |

Required Work Experience | Five (5) or more years of experience in benefits administration. |
Preferred Qualifications | Five (5) or more years of experience in benefits administration for organizations with 500+ employees. |
Required Certifications, Licenses or Registrations | None specified. |
Work Hours | Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm with extended hours as needed to meet departmental goals. |
Physical Demands | Standard office environment. |
