Shift
Primarily Monday through Friday 8AM-5PM with occasional evenings and weekends per departmental needs. (On-Call rotation) This position is hybrid.
Job Summary
UK HealthCare Information Technology Services has posted the Automation Tooling Engineer III role. This role will be held accountable for establishing strong credibility and collaboration with our physicians, customers, department leadership, affiliated organizations, and all I.T. staff members. This is a highly matrixed organization which requires excellent interpersonal skills, persuasion and influencing skills, ability to lead large multi-disciplinary teams through significant amount of varied work assignments. The successful Automation Tooling Engineer III will provide tier 3 support of all automation tooling incidents and requests for UK Healthcare. Evaluate emerging IT operations processes that continue to provide IT operations process automation relevant to the healthcare environment. UK HealthCare is a comprehensive healthcare system consisting of the medical, nursing, health sciences, public health, dental and pharmacy patient care activities of the University of Kentucky in Lexington, KY, and in several off-site locations. UK HealthCare is expanding through the construction of a new hospital and potential future acquisitions.
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
The ideal candidate will have strong background in developing, programming and software engineering; experience with monitoring software solutions (i.e. MS System Center Operation Manager, Splunk), clinical monitoring experience, analytics fundamentals, proficiency in Microsoft and Linux Server environments, troubleshooting IT process automation workflows, experience with policy and procedure development.

Preferred Education/Experience
Bachelors + 5 years Information Technology experience preferred in a healthcare environment; experience with MS System Center Operations Manager 2019+ (infrastructure Monitoring), MS Systems Center Orchestrator 2019+, ServiceNOW event management, GitHub version control, SPLUNK fundamentals, Windows Server and Linux Server OS administration fundamentals.
