Job Description
Boston University Academy is seeking a full-time Athletic Trainer / Assistant Athletic Director to begin in August 2024 (start date flexible). As the school's Athletic Trainer, the primary responsibility is to work with student athletes on the management, prevention, and recovery from injury. They will be present at practices and games and will be expected to be the first responder in case of injury. As the Assistant Athletic Director, the primary responsibility will be to support the Athletic Director with the administration of a growing athletic program in such duties as scheduling, purchasing, and supervision of games and coaches. The school's 233 students are curious, capable, and kind. They come from 55 cities and towns in the Greater Boston area. 56% of students identify as students of color. 30% of students are on financial aid - a reflection of BUA's commitment to equity and access.
Boston University's generous benefits package includes health, dental, life insurance, and paid time off. Required Skills
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree and at least 3 years of related experience, but candidates of any experience level are welcome to apply. A successful candidate must be a certified Athletic Trainer. This person should have a passion and a desire for working with high school students, as well as the skills to communicate with them effectively.
