The Athletic Assistant is responsible for assisting in the analysis and distribution of Football video information.

What you need to know

Salary: Compensation will be commensurate to selected hire's experience.

Position details: Travel required with assigned sport. Ability to work flexible hours (nights, weekend and holidays) as required to complete assigned duties.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • No experience required

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of word processing and basic spread sheet applications

  • Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Ability to use word processing, spreadsheet, and database programs

  • Interpersonal and communication skills and ability to plan and organize effectively

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience and background in NCAA Rules

Responsibilities:

  • Liaison - Serves as the liaison between coaching staff and video staff, providing specific video information and statistics as requested.

  • Video - Organizes and distributes all video tapes. All other necessary duties involving the handling of basketball video. Assists in the analysis and distribution of Football video information.

  • Camp/Clinic - Assists the Football Camp Director with camp logistics.

  • Compliance - Maintains continual and thorough familiarity with all applicable NCAA, Conference, and University rules and regulations. Establishes and ensures communication and enforcement of rules and regulations concerning student-athlete: conduct, appearance, road games, punctuality, and other areas as deemed appropriate. Maintains awareness of and supports the initiatives of the Athletics Department. Performs other duties as assigned.
