Assistant/Associate Professor - Clinical Teaching Track in Finance
The Business School
The University of Colorado Denver (CU Denver) Business School invites applications for a non-tenure-track faculty position in Finance at the level of either Assistant Professor or Associate Professor, Clinical Teaching Track in Finance. Funding for this position is available continuously with a successful renewal of the contract. We seek candidates with a deep commitment to teaching.
Note: this position will be transitioned to a new title, Teaching Assistant Professor effective January 1, 2024. All job duties and responsibilities remain the same, just the title will be transitioned.

Job Responsibilities:
A successful candidate hired at the Assistant/Associate Professor (Clinical Teaching Track) level can expect a distribution of 60% teaching (6 courses annually), 15% service, and 25% research for faculty who produce two or more academic peer-reviewed publications every five years. The Assistant/Associate Professor (Clinical Teaching Track) role has research/scholarship responsibilities that include applied or pedagogical scholarship disseminated in refereed academic outlets.
Salary and Benefits:
The salary range for those hired at the Clinical Assistant Professor level is $ 93,000 - $147,000. Salary is commensurate with skills and experience.
The salary range for those hired at the Clinical Associate Professor level is $120,000-$160,000. Salary is commensurate with skills and experience.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
Required qualifications for applicants at the Clinical Assistant Professor include:
o Business School definition: Assistant Professors, CTT hold a terminal degree in a relevant field and have deep experience in their teaching area. There must be evidence of teaching effectiveness at the university level and the potential for service and research/scholarship that supports the program and the School.
Required qualifications for applicants at the Clinical Associate Professor include:
o Business School definition: In addition to the qualifications of an assistant professor, CTT, an associate professor, CTT is expected to have had substantial relevant and successful teaching and professional experience in the field. They must also meet the service and research/scholarship criteria for associate professor, CTT, in the Business School
Applicants at either the Assistant or Associate Clinical Teaching Track level must have the ability to teach in various subjects such as Investment Management, Corporate Finance, Financial Markets and Intuitions, and International Finance. The ability to develop an undergraduate elective course is a plus. Typical indicators include past teaching of similar courses, relevant course work at the graduate level, or highly relevant peer-reviewed quality research work on the subject.
