Job Summary/Basic Functions

The incumbent supervises a team of Training Resource Center (TRC) staff who provide regional training support for a state contract.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Bachelors degree is required.
Masters degree in Social Work or a related field is preferred.
Relevant work experience may be substituted for education.

Experience: Three years of related experience is required.
Prior supervisory experience is preferred.
Preference will be given to applicants who possess experience in roles requiring high levels of coordination, communication and attention to detail.

Job Duties:

  • 70% - Manages staff for critical components of a state contract. Provides direct supervision, guidance and support for the Regional Learning Specialists (RLS) and an administrative assistant who are responsible for monitoring, tracking and communicating regarding training requirements for workers who are served through a contract with the state. Oversees delivery of some training sessions per the contracting agency requests and provides oversight of the coordination of logistics for trainings and non-training events. - (Essential)
  • 20% - Assimilates information and prepares reports, including special reports upon request. Ensures accurate and timely responses to contract agency requests for information and data. - (Essential)
  • 5% - Provides support as needed for projects involving a wide variety of initiatives such as, but not limited to, community collaboration, assessments, legislative/regulatory mandates, third party reviews for trainings, etc. - (Essential)
  • 5% - Other duties as required. - (Essential)

Special Instructions: The Training Resource Center (TRC) provides training and support for Kentucky's Department for Community Based Services. The funding for this position is from federal and/or state funds and is subject to annual renewal. This is a contract EKU position. The position may be considered for full time remote or hybrid work arrangements.
