Assistant or Associate Professor of Teacher Education
The School of Education at the University of South Carolina Aiken (USC Aiken) invites applications for a Tenure Track Assistant or Associate Professor of Teacher Education with an emphasis in one of the following: Early Childhood, Elementary, Multicultural, ESOL, Science, Math, Literacy or Educational Foundations. Expected start date August 16, 2024. Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses; supervision of teacher candidates; academic advisement; ongoing university and community service; pursuit of grant opportunities; and sustained scholarly activity. Main responsibilities will be on the Aiken campus with potential for teaching via distance or on-line teaching. Salary is commensurate with education and experience.
Requirements: Doctoral degree in education; PK-12 teaching experience; demonstrated effective teaching with diverse populations. Experience teaching online desirable. The School of Education is involved in exciting initiatives including Teaching Fellows, Call Me MiSTER, Pacer LIFE, a fully online SpEd – Multicategorical degree, and professional partnerships with our local school districts.
