Position Summary Information
Primary Purpose | The Associate University Librarian is responsible for management of university libraries on Stockton, Sacramento, and San Francisco campuses. This encompasses diverse responsibilities, including but not limited to research and instruction, personnel management, collection development, facility oversight, budgeting, operations, and alignment of services with the university’s mission. This position combines strong leadership, expertise in librarianship, and a commitment to meeting the evolving needs of a diverse student population. The Associate University Librarian collaborates with faculty, staff, and students to develop and implement innovative library programs, services, and initiatives that empower students to excel academically while ensuring equitable access to information resources. |

Requires extended periods of sitting and repetitive hand/wrist motion while using computer keyboard and phone. Occasional standing, walking, climbing stairs, bending, stooping and reaching. Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds. Work Environment/Work Week/Travel: Work is primarily performed in both office and academic environments. Work performed during standard business hours and must be flexible to work during weeknights and occasional weekends. Position may require traveling to all three campuses (Stockton, Sacramento, and San Francisco). Valid driver’s license required. Incumbent must also be able to meet the University’s fleet rules and be eligible to drive for University business. The University and its insurance carrier reserves the right to exclude applicants based on their driving record. |
Hiring Range | $77,730 to $106,880 per year. We consider factors such as, but not limited to, scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s qualifications, internal equity, as well as market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. |
