Job Summary: The Usha Kundu, MD College of Health at the University of West Florida invites applications for a full-time, 9-month Associate Professor or Full Professor to serve in the Department of Public Health. The position is heavily focused on research, with limited teaching expectations.

FLSA: Exempt
Minimum Qualifications: Doctorate degree in an appropriate area of specialization. Earned tenure and promotion in rank in the field of the doctorate. Successful administrative experience in higher education with demonstrated achievement in academic personnel budget administration and comprehensive academic planning. At least one position held for a period of not less than three consecutive years. A successful track record demonstrating an ability to work effectively in an environment of shared governance that relies on collegiality and consultative decision-making. Experience in and knowledge of processes planning and policy implementation related to accreditation is required.
Position Qualifications: ● Earned doctorate or appropriate terminal degree from an accredited institution in Public Health or a related discipline.
● Record of scholarly achievement meriting an appointment as a tenure faculty member in the Department of Public Health.
Preferred Qualifications ● History of significant accomplishment in acquiring external funding for research.
● Experience mentoring early career faculty to enhance research success.
● Experience engaging and mentoring graduate and undergraduate students in research.
● Highly visible research agenda with national or international impact.
● Expertise in Epidemiology.
