Job Summary
The Department of Criminology and Criminal Justice in the College of Liberal Arts, the University of Texas at Arlington, invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Associate or Full Professor.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in forensic science, expanding knowledge in the field by conducting research, and engaging in service to the department, university, and discipline.
Required Qualifications
A PhD in Criminology, Criminal Justice, or related field is required. Applicants with a JD alone will not be considered. Candidates must provide evidence of excellence in research, teaching, and service—as well as potential for, or record of, funded research activity.
Preferred Qualifications
The area of specialization is open. Preference will be given to applicants with research background in law or courts and external grant activity. Effective interpersonal skills, including the ability to collaborate effectively with faculty, staff, and students.

The Department of Criminology and Criminal Justice is housed within the College of Liberal Arts at the University of Texas at Arlington. The Department offers a Bachelor of Arts (BA) and minors in Law and Legal Studies (LLS) and Forensic Applications of Science and Technology (FAST). At the graduate level, the department offers two Master of Arts (MA) degrees. The department supports approximately 700 student majors with active student organizations including Alpha Phi Sigma, Society for Criminal Justice Students, and Forensic Science Students. The department strives to create an academic environment that promotes the intellectual and professional development of faculty.
