Position Summary
The University of Illinois at Chicago's Department of Anesthesiology is seeking a full-time Pediatric Anesthesiologist to also serve as the Chief of the Pediatric Anesthesiology Section. Rank will be commensurate with experience. Section of Pediatric Anesthesiology provides anesthesia services at UIHealth, UIC's College of Dentistry, and Shriners Hospital for Children.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide anesthesia services for pediatric and adult patients.
  • Participate in clinical initiatives for the section.
  • Manage all aspects of the Section of Pediatric Anesthesiology.
  • Develop plans for growth of the section.
  • Train residents.
  • Medically direct CRNA's.
  • Qualifications:

    Minimum Qualifications
    Candidates must have an MD and experience in the field of Anesthesiology and subspecialty training in Pediatric Anesthesiology. Board certification is required in both Anesthesiology and in Pediatric Anesthesia. Candidates should have a minimum of 5-7 years of clinical experience since completion of their pediatric anesthesiology fellowship. The successful candidates must have a local/national reputation as a distinguished Pediatric Anesthesiologist with a track record for program direction and mentoring junior faculty, residents, and students.
