Job Description

The Opportunity:

The Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University - Worldwide Campus Operations team is now accepting applications for the Associate Executive Director (AED) position. This management position oversees daily operations for European Military Campuses as directed by the Executive Director. Supports Tri-Services Contract by liaising with contract representative and Education Services Officers. This position is also responsible for HR/training for campus staff as well as contract deliverables.

The AED is responsible for the enforcement of all administrative standards, policies and procedures. Works to ensure that the campuses are operating effectively and efficiently and that university goals and objectives, including enrollment targets, are met. This position is also responsible for ensuring high standards and effective and efficient campus administrative operations are conducted. The AED also assists with annual graduation, workshop, and ceremony planning.

Travel Requirements:

Moderate travel is required for the position with employee's personal vehicle within Germany. Additional travel (flights) to visit campus locations may occur throughout Europe and the US for conferences.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Master's degree

  • (3-5) years of work-related experience

  • Located within Germany (in Kaiserslautern/Ramstein area)

  • Must be authorized to work in the United States for any employer

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Ability to perform as a team player but also capable of thinking independently

  • Ability to use sound judgement when troubleshooting challenges that arise

  • Prior experience with supervising teams and projects at high standards (in person and remotely)

  • Positive attitude

  • Keen attention to detail

  • Ability to travel for meetings and campus visits as needed

  • Ability to lead and inspire a team by example
