I. JOB OVERVIEW
Job Description Summary: | Events and Venues is looking for an Associate Director, University Events. The Division brings together the Scheduling, Venues, Executive Events, and University Events offices and works in close collaboration with divisions and teams across the university. This position in the Events & Venues team reports to the Director, University Events. This position serves as the subject matter expert and direct liaison to school and division/unit representatives and providing guidance on internal major events. Responsibilities include:
The position is based at GW’s Foggy Bottom Campus in Washington, DC (but may require some local travel). This position is designated as “Essential Onsite” which means this positions perform essential core safety and operational functions and typically need to be on campus even when access to campus is restricted. (For example, some employees that reported to work daily throughout the pandemic include lab personnel, EHS staff, police officers, facilities staff, among others.) |

Minimum Qualifications: | Qualified candidates will hold a Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization plus 5 years of relevant professional experience, or, a Master’s degree or higher in a relevant area of study plus 3 years of relevant professional experience. Degree must be conferred by the start date of the position. Degree requirements may be substituted with an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. |
