Title: Associate Director of Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) and Compliance

Reports to: Vice President for Human Resources/Chief Human Resources Officer

Position Summary:

Provides leadership and direction in the administration of HR systems to support critical human resources initiatives and advance the mission of the Office of Human Resources and the College. The position is also responsible for ensuring the integrity, administration, and maintenance of HR data, including demographic, benefits, and payroll information. The Assistant Director manages all aspects of technology service delivery, including high-level consultation with senior leadership, product development, and prioritizing multiple projects and venues to ensure services are efficient, add value, and compliant with laws and regulations. Provides counsel to employees, faculty and management on various Human Resource issues including but not limited to: policies, procedures, related laws and regulations.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Performs HRIS administration by evaluating, analyzing, and maintaining the College's existing system(s). Works within Human Resources and partners with other offices to administer internal audit processes to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Develops and produces a variety of reports and queries and performs data analysis. Conducts internal control measures for the Office of Human Resources and recommends policies and processes to improve outcomes.
  • Identifies processes that can be streamlined and leverages existing resources to ensure that the department continues to transition to automated processes.
  • Assists in annual mandatory reporting such as IPEDs, ACA and in recurring tasks such as salary increases and leave accruals.
  • Collaborates with other departments related to utilizing technology and automating processes between human resources and those departments we partner with regularly.
  • Reviews, updates, and submits revisions to the Employee Handbook and other HR policies and procedures.
  • Serves as backup to other Human Resources Department team members and coordinates with them regarding recruitment, organizational development, benefits, and compensation.
  • Works collaboratively with various departments to provide training and online training required by New York State Law, management issues, and best practices, and provides supervisory development.
  • Establishes and monitors departmental goals, objectives, and ad hoc projects. Prepares annual Goals reports. Participates in yearly and governmental salary surveys and provides information to help departments receive grants.
  • Manages employee communication and feedback through staff and administrative meetings, one-on-one sessions, focus groups, and internal and external climate surveys.

Education Requirements: Bachelor's Degree required in business, or related field; Master's degree preferred

Salary Range: $95,000 to $125, 000 Per Year
