Job Summary
The Associate Director of Housing Operations leads building operations for Housing Operations taking a hands-on role in ensuring that operational needs of the department and residents are met. This position provides leadership for custodial, customer service, and inspection operations. The position ensures quality and consistent customer service is being delivered across all housing front desks and together with other housing team members regarding all aspects of operational support for the housing program. The Associate Director will support the Director in all long-range, financial, and life cycle planning, implementing new technologies, and strategic planning within Housing Operations. This position works closely with other members of the Housing Operations team to provide ongoing review and inspection of the facilities. This position will support the Director to ensure that all policies and procedures are in place and executed that lead to an efficient, safe, code-compliant housing environment for residents and work environment for staff.
Minimum Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in a related field; 5-7 years related professional experience; or any equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Education and Experience
A Master’s degree is preferred. Five years experience in university housing, multifamily housing, residential life, student affairs, higher education administration, or similar work responsibilities. Experience with Microsoft Office and StarRez or other housing management software.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The Associate Director of Housing Operations will provide oversight for custodial, customer service, inspections, assessment, resident communication, and general operational support for all areas of University Housing In coordination with the Director, Assistant Director, and Building Services Supervisor, interview, hire, and supervise custodial, customer service, and operational staff, set and communicate performance standards, monitor progress, and hold personnel accountable. Collaborate with the Director on the planning, development, and implementation of custodial plans, marketing & communication strategies, financial and long-range planning, strategic planning, and other standard operating procedures. Develop procedures for consistent standard operating procedures and guidelines. Effectively serve residents through excellent communication, customer service, and working with campus partners. Serve in an on-call rotation as a member of the operations on-call team to respond to maintenance, facility, and operational needs outside of normal business hours. Participate in ongoing review and inspections of housing facilities as part of the housing operations team. Other duties as assigned.

Remote Work Notice:
After the probationary period, this role may be eligible for a hybrid (partly remote/partly in office) work schedule, subject to business need and manager approval. Must be located within the DFW Area and have the ability to be on campus with 24 hours of notice. A UT Dallas Remote Work Agreement will be required within 14 days after approval
