The University of Nevada, Las Vegas invites applications for Associate Director of Development, Rebel Athletic Fund, UNLV Athletics [R0136689].
ROLE of the POSITION
The Associate Director of Development will assist with the management of the comprehensive strategy and implementation of all annual giving activities for the Rebel Athletic Fund (RAF). Reporting to the Senior Associate Athletics Director for Development & Premium Sales, this position assists with identification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of UNLV Athletics annual contributors. Growing the athletics department's annual fund represents a top priority with a strict focus on expanding engagement, growing affinity, attracting new donors and increasing funds raised.
This position will work closely with the Assistant Athletics Director, Annual Fund, and will be innovative, applying a best-practice approach to all facets of the annual fund operation to include donor communications, strategic messaging, external engagement, donor retention, event management and stewardship. The Associate Director of Development will oversee all RAF social media and marketing elements and assist with letter winner engagement.
Utilizing digital tools to enhance outreach is essential, collaborating with athletics marketing and communications to ensure efficiency, consistency and external impact. Strategically expanding engagement through the annual fund will positively impact ticket sales and premium seating revenue. Working with UNLV Philanthropy and Alumni Engagement to enhance efficiency and outreach is expected, while aligning the annual fund with the goals and priorities set forth by the Director of Athletics.
This position should have basic knowledge of NCAA rules as it pertains to assigned job duties and the scope of employment. In addition, this position will be responsible for obtaining proper guidance or approval from Athletics Compliance, prior to participating in select activities, as defined by NCAA bylaws or institutional policies.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
This position requires a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university as recognized by the United States Department of Education and/or the Council on Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) and one year of related professional experience. Credentials must be obtained prior to the start date.
