Position Summary
Bryant University seeks an Associate Director to join the University Marketing and Communication team for a pivotal role in enhancing Bryant University’s brand visibility, engagement, and reputation through strategic content creation and communication initiatives. This role is responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive content and marketing strategies to support the work and objectives laid out by senior leaders including the President’s Office and VP of Advancement as well as other key University leaders.
Reporting to the Senior Director and partnering with University Advancement, this role is responsible for developing and implementing communications initiatives and storylines that articulate Bryant’s values and bold vision set forth within its Vision 2030 strategic plan. In addition, this role would also support institutional initiatives, such as Women’s Summit and Healthcare Summit, which play a dual role in community / sponsorship engagement and thought leadership.

Principal Accountabilities
  • Work closely with Bryant’s advancement team to create and implement effective content strategies that attract and engage alumni, current and prospective donors, and corporate/foundation partners. Ensures that content and ideas align and support Bryant’s Vision 2030 strategic plan priorities and long-term vision.
  • Play a key role in the development of content delivery (traditional and digital platforms), web pages, e-newsletters, social media, publications, etc.
  • Develops and implements marketing plans and supportive collateral based on fundraising goals, including case statement, campaign collateral, announcements, and other related activities.
  • Collaborate with Advancement and internal and external university partners to implement effective content strategies that attract and engage prospective donors and corporate/foundation partners.
  • Communicate and advance Bryant’s strategic goals, with an emphasis on supporting initiatives established by the President’s Office and the University Advancement.
  • Curate Vision 2030 content submitted by university partners for publication online / in print. Serves as the content editor for the University’s Vision 2030 website and news site’s digital presence.
  • Utilize data-driven insights to refine communication strategies and tactics for maximum effectiveness.
  • Manage advertising placements, media partnerships, and promotional activities to enhance events and content visibility.
  • Monitor and report on campaign performance, adjusting strategies as needed to achieve objectives.
  • Collaboration on the development of video and photo assets, script writing and any editorial needs for special projects such as Bryant Giving Day or President’s Cup and Vision 2030
  • Message development and distribution to the alumni community on university-wide messaging

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism or related fields.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in developing marketing content for engagement with donors and alumni or related roles, preferably in higher education or a similarly complex organization
  • Experience with roll out of capital campaigns and /or Advancement and Fundraising.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and implementing comprehensive content and marketing strategies that drive engagement and achieve measurable results.
  • Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms, including content management systems (CMS), email marketing software, social media management tools, and analytics platforms.
  • Strong leadership and project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
  • Creative thinker with a strategic mindset and the ability to translate ideas into actionable plans.
  • Collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships across diverse stakeholder groups.
