Job Summary
Responsibilities
- Coaches working, professional, domestic and international students and alumni on appropriate career management and job search skills in one-on-one, small and large group settings, and virtually.
- Provides career coaching support for a wide variety of MBA career paths and goals, including career changers, those seeking promotional advancement with their current firms, and entrepreneurs.
- Conceptualizes, innovates, develops, and facilitates the delivery of career education (knowledge and skill building) including workshops, panel discussions, large scale conferences in person and via e-learning/media.
- Creates self-guided and/or interactive learning resources, such as scripted content and video, for intranet and LMS platforms.
- Continually develops and maintains knowledge of market and industry trends, and MBA roles across a wide spectrum of industries and functions; partners with Employer Relations to stay current on firm trends and recruiting processes.
- Acquires, maintains, and applies knowledge of proprietary career research databases and resources, and utilizes with relevant constituencies through one-on-one coaching appointments, live and virtual presentations, and online and print content.
- Consults and partners with several industry, regional, and/or functional student groups to assess and support recruiting needs, and assists in planning and delivering career-management related programming.
- Collaborates with career services colleagues and across Booth to build and maintain institutional knowledge, gain synergies, and design and implement strategic and tactical solutions that advance the career goals of students and alumni.
- Solicits and analyzes student and alumni feedback and evaluations, and helps strategize with Career Management team, student organizations, or other Booth staff to determine program and resource offerings and innovations.
- Manages or leads various special projects/programs that provide career-related support or strategic initiatives to address needs of special constituencies.
- Conducts job search and career management related large lectures, hands-on workshops, special events, training programs, and one-on-one career coaching sessions. Acts as a resource for and directs students to other career resources as needed.
- Analyzes markets and trends as they relate to job searches. Assesses student feedback and evaluations and collaborates with other career services staff members, student organizations, or other staff to determine program offerings and innovations.

- Master’s degree in business, counseling, or related field.
Experience:
- A minimum five years of experience in business or higher education.
- Skilled in MBA career management, recruiting, or student services fields.
- Background with, knowledge of, or demonstrated interest in business careers.
Technical Skills or Knowledge:
- Knowledge of and demonstrated experience using on-line resources, spreadsheets, digital content management (website) and learning management (LMS) platforms and presentation software (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Preferred Competencies
- Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated leadership, organizational, and project management skills.
- An understanding of and appreciation for the needs and concerns of a diverse MBA student body preferred.

Working Conditions
- This position is currently expected to work a minimum three days per week in the office.
- Work evenings and weekends regularly.
