Goals for RSCA in the University’s newly approved strategic plan, Pathway to Premier 2030, are accordingly high. Specifically, SDSU is pursuing a pathway to achieve designation as an R1 Research University by Carnegie Classification of Institutions of Higher Education. Achieving this kind of growth calls for focused and intentional leadership within and between colleges. The College of Pharmacy and Allied Health Professions at South Dakota State University is seeking applicants for an Associate Dean for Research. This position is responsible for the administration and management of all aspects of research within the College. This person is a member of the College’s Executive Team, reporting to the Dean of the College of Pharmacy and Allied Health Professions, and will receive an academic appointment within one of the College’s three Departments. This is a 12-month, full-time, benefit-eligible, non-faculty exempt position and is located in Brookings, South Dakota. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The Associate Dean for Research is responsible for developing a coordinated strategy for focused research in the College of Pharmacy and Allied Health Professions. This person will serve as a lead contact representing the College to external research agencies and labs, and as a liaison to the SDSU Office of Research and Economic Development and leadership counterparts across the university.
