Position Summary
This position will serve as an Associate Clinical Research Coordinator within the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. The Associate Clinical Research Coordinator is responsible for the execution of clinical research protocols, including leading efforts in gathering, compiling, and reporting data for a variety of research studies.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor’s degree; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
Must be able to use considerable judgement and skills in performing work assignments. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to work and communicate with diverse populations effectively and professionally. Ability to work independently as well as function as part of a team. Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word. 
Competence in the use of at least one statistical software program (SAS, Stata, SPSS). Experience with the REDCap research management system.
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
Knowledge of integrative medicine and/or rehabilitation research is a plus. Experience with UNC research systems/organizations including the Institutional review board and electronic health records is preferred. Preference will be given to applicants with experience in clinical research with participants of varying ages and backgrounds.

Special Physical/Mental Requirements
The Study Coordinator should be comfortable interacting with individuals of all ages from a variety of backgrounds both in person and via telehealth and/or telephone. The position requires a high level of sensitivity and compassion.
