Job Description

The Opportunity:

Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University - Worldwide is seeking an Associate Campus Director (AsCD) to support the Europe Campus location in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. This role participates in student services and the general administrative responsibilities of the campus.

Essential Job Functions, Duties, or Accountabilities:

  • Provides various student services to include preparation of unofficial student evaluations, degree maps, enrollment confirmations, maintenance of imaged student records, and reconciliation and follow-up of student accounts receivable.  Performs regular student email contact in line with Campus Communications timeline. Along with the Senior Campus Director, is responsible for student retention.  Provides administrative support for the campus, including answering the phone, responding to emails, shipping and processing mail, ordering supplies, and assistance to faculty members teaching at/for the Europe Campus. Maintains daily campus operational hours for student services needs.  Ensures that classrooms and facilities are ready for instructional use at all times (including EagleVision). 
  • Assists with pre-event preparations from room reservations, to catering orders, preparing eblasts and social media posts, and creating RSVP lists. Post-conference follow-up tasks include entering of lead submissions and the sending of form emails to prospects. Keeps track of rack cards and miscellaneous promotional materials.
  • Creates/maintains projected and actual budget reports.  Maintains communication with GmbH's accounting firm.  Pays vendor invoices and executes payroll as directed by University Payroll office.  Works with University Controller’s Office on accounting-related software implementations and protocols.  Creates student invoices and assists with student account collections. Assists in the drawing up and maintenance of the proper records of faculty contracts and partnership agreements. Invoices/pays partnership institutions as appropriate based on student enrollments. Responsible for paying all campus vendors, faculty, and maintaining proper financial records.
  • Closely cooperates with the Senior Campus Director in support of the campus operations to include active participation in all training activities.  Demonstrates effective utilization of University tools and resources.
  • Acts for the Senior Campus Director as needed in their absence. Always maintains a positive and professional image. Demonstrates sound decision making and troubleshooting skills.
  • Processes information for reports and correspondence in a timely and accurate manner in accordance with published procedures.  Prepares reports for various University and external agencies.

Qualifications

Required Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree

Required skills, knowledge, and abilities:

  • Bilingual German/English
  • Analytical skills with an in-depth knowledge of information systems and technical expertise with Microsoft operating systems, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook/email, and Internet end-user applications. 
  • Excellent customer services skills required.
  • Working knowledge of office procedures and equipment.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Aviation background or experience desired.
  • Experience using Workday financial and other ERP modules desired.
  • Experience working in a higher education setting.
  • Experience working with students/clients from diverse cultural backgrounds.
