Tarleton State University is accepting applications and nominations for Assistant Women's Volleyball Coach.

The assistant volleyball coach assists head coach with coaching, recruiting, game day preparation and travel requirements. Serves as a Campus Security Authority (CSA). ; Work hours: Mon-Fri; 8 AM-5 PM or as work requirements indicate.

Responsibilities:

-50% Coaches student athletes individually and in groups, and demonstrates game techniques. May manage a designated skill development area or group of positions. Instructs student athletes on physical health, team concepts and safety. Instructs student athletes in the rules and fundamentals of their sport. Ensures adherence to all Association, Conference, and University rules by student athletes and supporting staff.

-25% Assists Head Coach with recruiting efforts, travel arrangements, equipment management and game day preparations.

-10% This position may be required to perform tasks related to game administration of sporting events hosted by Tarleton State University.

-5% Director of the sand volleyball program

-5% Maintains continual and thorough familiarity with all applicable NCAA, conference and university rules and regulations

-5% Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelors degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3-5 years of collegiate coaching experience.
  • Recruiting experience

Salary

Commensurate with experience

The target base annual salary is commensurate with experience and may be negotiable based on funding availability and candidate experience/skillset in relation to the minimum requirements of this position.
