About the Department | The Division of External Affairs, Partnerships, and Economic Development (EAPED) builds mutually beneficial relationships between NC State University and industry, government, and non-profit organizations; streamlines access to important resources to help existing and potential partners who want to work with the University; and aligns businesses and other organizations that are interested in relocating or expanding in North Carolina with University talent, research, and other assets. NC State’s Centennial Campus is a university research park that provides proximity to world-class researchers, workers, and students – all in an amenity-rich environment. EAPED cultivates partnerships with organizations that desire to engage with the University, developing win-win relationships while advancing innovation locally and globally. The Office of Partnerships, a unit within EAPED, actively manages more than 120 partnerships between NC State and industry, government, and non-profit organizations, with 70 of these partnerships based on the Centennial Campus. The Office of Partnerships works to build and grow long-term, strategic collaborations to provide meaningful opportunities to faculty and students, foster innovation, and spur economic growth. |
Essential Job Duties | The Assistant Vice Chancellor, Partnerships position will report directly to the Associate Vice Chancellor, Partnerships, and serve a key leadership role for the partnerships team. This will include having focused responsibility for the partnership development team and the institutional partnership portfolio. This role will lead a new institutional process to coordinate partnering activity and engagement across the university to drive measurable impact in alignment with the Wolfpack 2030 Strategic Plan. The position will serve as a key representative of the Partnerships Office internal to the university and externally among partners and key stakeholders. This role will focus on the following primary responsibilities as a key leadership role on the Partnerships Team at NC State:
