Job Summary
This role is an essential partner to the Directors in helping them fulfill commitments to the campus and external constituents. Three critical functions, related to the museum’s operations, to be conducted by the Assistant include :
  • Coordinate logistics for museum events both digital and in person, including travel, dinners, receptions, advisory council meetings, lectures and symposia, in coordination with the museum staff and other campus offices.
  • Provide timely and effective administrative support for the directors and other museum staff, as well as providing office management support.
  • Manage the museum’s membership program by working with museum and development staff to ensure annual solicitation of membership, timely correspondence with members, and coordination of membership benefits.
  • This position also oversees student work position(s) and manages the day-to-day operations of the office.

Pay and Benefits:
  • Hourly range for this position is expected to be: Minimum $25.80 – Maximum $27.00/per hour

Education/Skills Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Strong interpersonal skills including excellent customer service and the ability to work as a positive member of a team.
  • Excellent computer skills, including high level of proficiency with Microsoft Office suite Outlook calendar and email, as well as a willingness to learn new software.
  • Ability to work independently within the scope of Museum policies.
  • Superior organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
Experience Requirements and/or Equivalents
  • 1-3 years experience in an administrative support role required.
Standard Work Days and Hours
  • Generally hours occur between, Monday – Friday, 8:30 – 5:00 pm.
  • This is a .94 full-time equivalent (FTE) position, working 37.5 hours per week.
  • May include some nights and weekend responsibilities per the events schedule.
