Job Summary:
 
Assists the director with operational management and administrative activities in the School of Computing Sciences and Computer Engineering.

 Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  •  Supports and serves the Director of the School through representation on University committees and/or community outreach projects
  • Assists with communications, planning, and activity scheduling with the School’s Advisory Council.
  • Assists with developing, obtaining, and disseminating Helio data and metrics and preparing reports.
  • Develops or assists with the development and implementation of policies and procedures consistent with those of the University to ensure efficient operation of the School.
  • Leads recruitment and retention projects, scheduling faculty, staff, and students for activities and tracking progress.
  • Manages the School’s social media presence including the development and distribution of content.
  • Facilitates course schedule entry and schedule maintenance working closely with the Director. 8. Ensures book and room assignments for courses are entered each semester.
  • Travels to recruitment events as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Minimum Qualifications  
    Bachelor’s degree in business or education from an Accredited College or University and 3-4 years of experience in a secondary or post-secondary educational environment.
    Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
     
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, professional demeanor, integrity, tact, and good judgment;
    • Ability to interact professionally using excellent customer service skills with potential students, students, faculty, and staff in a team environment;
    • Ability to work with diverse populations;
    • Ability to maintain and manage highly sensitive and confidential information and communications with discretion and integrity;
    • Strong project management and time management skills, highly detail-oriented and with strong organizational skills;
    • Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
    • Proven execution of standard office administrative practices and procedures with a focus on efficiency and process improvement;
    • Demonstrated supervisory and personnel management skills;

    Preferred Qualifications  
    One or more years of experience supervising hourly or salaried employees.
