Summary of Position: To engage, develop and produce impactful and successful students. Under the direction of the Director of Student Engagement, the part-time Assistant to the Director of Student Engagement serves as a member of the Student Life team by assisting the Director of Student Engagement in planning and implementing co-curricular programming. This position also works in conjunction with other departments, faculty, and administration as well as external organizations for the purpose of the promotion of student success and student progress. This is a part-time temporary position to work a maximum of 28 hours per week from approximately April 15 – August 15, 2024.

Additional Education/Experiences to be Considered: Bachelor’s degree in art or design
Working knowledge of Banner software.
Experience working with art and/or design student populations.
Experience with commuter student populations.
Previous work in a college / university setting working with art and/or design.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities: Support the Director of Student Engagement with events, programming and associated documentation (i.e. contracts, honorariums, payments and reimbursements).
Complete room reservations, room set ups, and food order requests for Student Engagement activities, events, and meetings.
Coordinate calendars for Student Engagement as needed.
Assist in communication of activities, events and meetings as necessary.
Attend activities, events and meetings as necessary.
Coordinate transportation and required documentation for College field trips.
Coordinate connections between inquiring individuals with the FSU Career and Professional Success office for access to Handshake job/internship postings.
Manage a University Corporate Credit Card (purchases and reconcile expense reports).
Coordinate departmental purchases for the Student Engagement Office and New Student Orientation, reconcile expense reports for purchases made by the Director of Student Engagement.
Collaborate with necessary individuals to complete purchases for the Student Engagement Office, Student Organizations, field trip transportation.
Travel off campus as needed for various tasks needed is support of Student Engagement and KCAD/FSU.
Collaborate with the faculty, staff and students to promote student success and student progress.
Demonstrate an understanding of diversity, equity, and inclusion, especially in working relationships with students, faculty, staff, and community members.
Perform any other duties assigned within the position classification area.
