Job Summary

  • The Department of Engineering Leadership and Society in the College of Engineering at Drexel University invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure track teaching position in Engineering Technology, with an emphasis on robotics and electrical engineering, at the Assistant Professor level. Candidates for this position must have a PhD in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related field by September 1, 2024, be committed to the education of undergraduate students, and have expertise in any one of the following: mechatronics, electrical engineering, electro-mechanical systems, robotics, or industrial automation. Candidates with demonstrated industrial and teaching experience are preferred. The start date for the position is September 1, 2024, or as soon as the position is filled.

Essential Functions

  • Primary responsibilities include a teaching load of 30 credits and a service load of six credits per academic year during the fall, winter, and spring terms. Your service load includes student mentorship and developing educational programs with industrial contracts."

Required Qualifications

  • A PhD or Doctorate in Electrical Engineering or Closely Related Field is required.
  • 1-2 years of experience is required.
  • Candidate must have expertise in any one of the following: power engineering, electro-mechanical systems, robotics, or industrial automation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Candidates with industrial and teaching experience are preferred.
