Job Description

The NSPHL has received funding to expand IT services statewide to expedite clinical result data reporting in real-time and provide a mechanism for clients to access the NSPHL system to obtain results as needed.  Expansion of NSPHL IT services/support will be achieved by the creation of two new Assistant LIMS Administrator positions.  The positions will support the expansion of the Nevada State Public Health Laboratory’s electronic laboratory reporting capabilities to reach the majority of clients in urban and rural areas of Nevada.  In addition, the positions will support staff internally with the implementation and expansion of the new Starlims v12 cloud-based system and provide support for the existing newborn screening Specimen Gate and the Financial HealthPac systems. 

Required Qualifications

High school graduation or equivalent and 3 years of related work experience OR

Associate's Degree and two years of related work experience OR

Bachelor's Degree and one year of related work experience OR

Master's Degree

Related Experience : Familiarity with Laboratory Information Management Systems, hardware configuration/installation and large reference laboratory operations.

Preferred Qualifications

Electronic data messaging experience
