Who We Want
The Assistant Strength Coach is responsible for developing, implementing and monitoring individualized speed, strength and conditioning programs to enhance overall athletic performance and minimize the risk of injury. Communicates with sport coaches and staff to ensure a well-planned and executed training environment for student-athletes.

Position Details: Travel required. Nights, weekends, and holidays as required to complete assigned duties.
Required Education:
Masters degree in Exercise Physiology or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Three years full-time experience in Collegiate or Professional setting
Required Licenses and Certifications:
CSCS (Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist) or SCCC (Strength and Conditioning Coach Certified) /MSCC (Master Strength & Conditioning Coach)
CPR/AED + First Aid certifications
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
General knowledge of NCAA rules
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to use word processing, spreadsheet, and database programs
Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others
Preferred Qualifications:
Preferred Licenses and Certifications : USA Weightlifting Sports Performance certification
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities : Experience with Player load management software
Responsibilities:
Training - Designs integrated programs of strength training, conditioning, speed/agility, flexibility, plyometrics, rehabilitation, and reconditioning that will meet the needs of the individual student athlete. Organizes and implements the programs workouts in an efficient and safe manner, to ensure proper training effects for student-athletes. Designs and implements well-rounded, annual training program for various sports and activities. Oversees conditioning activities that are specific to the need of the athlete, as well as, meeting the demands of the sport. Communicates with sport coaches and performance team members (athletic training, sports nutrition, sports psychology, sports science, etc.).
Data Analysis - Conducts performance testing and analyzes data in conjunction with Sports Science staff.
Equipment - Maintains training equipment, insuring proper function and safety.
Compliance - Compliance is a shared responsibility. Maintains continual and thorough familiarity with all applicable NCAA, Conference, and University rules and regulations. Establishes and ensures communication and enforcement of rules and regulations for all staff members and student workers supervised.
